Plano individuals who wish to combat forehead wrinkles and lines may consider Xeomin to achieve smooth results. Similar in nature to BOTOX, Xeomin is a medication that is injected into the facial muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and frown lines. It is made from Botulinum, a type A bacterium that creates botulism, which blocks nerve activity in the muscles and causes a temporary reduction in muscle activity. During the consultation, Dr. Yaker and Board Eligible Dr. Jaime Haidenberg will assess the facial wrinkles and determine if BOTOX should be considered, or if Xeomin may be a better option for the patient.
"You will have missed an opportunity if you don’t schedule a consult with Dr. Haidenberg - I am very excited to provide my review for Dr. Haidenberg. From my first consultation, it was clear that Dr. Haidenberg puts his patients best interest first. When looking at patients pictures that had similar surgeries to mine, my first observation was that patient outcomes were natural, younger and fresher, but everyone looked like themselves. Aside from Dr. Haidenberg’s personal care for his patients, his technical expertise and ability to explain the procedure, set’s patients up for solid expectations. If you take the time to read his reviews, they each will testify to his skill as a surgeon and that his attention to detail are unmatched. He also collaborates well with Dr. Yaker his partner, which magnifies their assessment, surgical plan, and after care which further enhanced my confidence in Dr. Heidenberg. Beyond the excellence demonstrated by Dr. Haidenberg throughout the process, the competence, care, and personal interest offered by each member of his staff was also unsurpassed. From the moment I entered their office on my first visit and throughout follow ups, the welcoming relaxed environment and dedication to excellence makes recommending Dr. Haidenberg a pleasure and an honor. Regardless your interest in plastic surgery or desired outcome, you will have missed an opportunity if you don’t schedule a consult with Dr. Haidenberg. You’ll find my appraisal is not exceptional, and like others, just tries to express appreciation for a doctor that cares as much about your outcome as you do."- E. / RealSelf / Sep 08, 2020

What to Expect
Xeomin is usually a 10 to 20 minute procedure. The doctor will inject Xeomin directly into the patient’s facial muscles. Injections may be administered to more than one area at a time, depending on the condition being treated. Patients may be asked to use eye drops, special contact lenses or other devices to protect their eyes during the procedure. No anesthesia is required, but the doctor can use a topical anesthesia or cold pack to prevent or reduce any patient discomfort.
After the Procedure
Patients may not begin to see results or improvements until 7 days after receiving Xeomin injections. Some patients may experience side effects including neck pain, dry eyes, headache, eyelid swelling or bruising, and pain or redness at the injection site. Results typically last 3 months. Patients should not receive Xeomin injections within 3 months of the last Xeomin treatment.
The expected cost of Xeomin varies, depending on the area and condition being treated. Patients can expect to pay between $250 and $1,500 per Xeomin treatment session.

Xeomin or BOTOX?
Xeomin is different from BOTOX because it does not contain any additives, which lessens the chances of patients building antibodies against the medication. Patients should not use Xeomin with other botulinum products. During a consultation, the cosmetic surgeon can determine the best botulinum product for each patient.
Yes, Xeomin is an FDA-approved product. Based on two US clinical trials, Xeomin is a safe and effective treatment for adults with cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, facial lines, wrinkles and folds. The US is the 20th country to approve the prescription medication.
Medications and Xeomin?
Medications, such as cold and allergy medication, muscle relaxers, sleeping aids and urinary medications can increase the chance of Xeomin’s side effects. Patients should notify the cosmetic surgeon if they are currently using any blood thinners or antibiotics.
Missed a Treatment?
Patients should not worry if they missed a Xeomin treatment. Xeomin injections have a temporary effect, and are given months apart. Missing a dose is not harmful to patients.
